Things That I Don't Like About Hotspot Shield

So after using Hotspot Shield for more that one year now i had many things in my mind that i don't like about Hotspot Shield.So without further wasting time lets jump into Things That I Don't Like About Hotspot Shield 

Slow Down OS:-

The most annoying thing about Hotspot Shield  is that it would slow down your OS regardless of what machine you have. I have quite powerful PC it's core i5 2.53 GHz with 4 Gigs of ram running genuine copy of 64 bit Windows 7  but still it slowed down my system. Even my web browser slow down it can't handle more that 4 windows at a time.

Torrent:-

Every body loves downloading torrents it's the best, fastest and easiest way of downloading large files. but guess what Hotspot Shield does not support Torrents.

Internet Speed:-

 

It's not about Hotspot Shield but every VPN software effects your internet speed. Hotspot Shield effected my browsing speed as well as both uploading and downloading speed. According to one research VPN softwares can effect your internet speed up to 3 times the original speed.

Uploading Videos:-

    

When i was using Hotspot Shield i found out that Hotspot Shield will not let me upload videos to youtube. I don't find why but i think it's because of the slow uploading speed. It also effected my uploading speed of Pictures on Facebook it reduced it so much that single photo took average around 5 minutes to upload :(. Also i found that i can't upload project files on Fiverr.

Homepage and Default Search Engine:-

When i installed Hotspot Shield  it changed my search engine and default home page at first it was not problem but when i changed both of them to my default search engine and homepage it again changed them, and constantly shows messages to change them which becomes annoying.

Annoying Pop-ups and Ads:-

     

This is the most annoying thing of Hotspot Shield  it will show so many ads on the webpage that some times you can't actually see what is on page. And it shows pop-ups on every single click and on every browser you have installed with in 30 sec it can open around 5-8 pop-ups and most of these pop-ups contain links to spam softwares. You can buy Elite version of Hotspot Shield to stop these ads but it costs 29.99$ a year.

Conclusion:-  In conclusion i just want to say that there many other VPN softwares like spotflux which at least don't show annoying ads and Pop-ups but if Hotspot Shield  can reduce no of ads at free version it would be the best VPN software out there.
